Learn about the most common types of vaginal infections.

When symptoms start to develop, it's usually a reason to go to a gynecologist, and that's okay. But, many infections could be prevented if the routine of attending your trusted doctor was punctual at the indicated time.

The point is that a vaginal infection is more common than you think and in most cases the symptoms are similar, they are annoying and even painful in the woman who suffers from them, so it is imperative to attend a gynecological consultation immediately.

The symptoms are usually the same in most cases. These can be:

  • Significant increase in vaginal discharge.
  • Whitish discharge.
  • Itching
  • Discomfort during urination
  • Pain during intercourse
  • Skin lesions on the external genitalia.

The most common causes of infections

There are several causes for vaginal-type infections to strike any woman. The simple fact that the urinary tract is shorter already makes them susceptible to this type of infection.

Let's see some general causes of vaginal infections.

  1. Poor hygiene: Having bad vaginal hygiene makes that health affected. If we neglect the hygiene of this delicate area of our body, it is possible that we are prone to contract an infection.

The use of neutral soap once a day is enough to counteract infections.

  1. Tight underwear: in synthetic materials that prevent the vulvar skin from breathing. The idea is to avoid small underwear and underwear in materials other than cotton as they can create an environment that favors the growth of yeast and microorganisms that spread infections.

A recommended garment is eco-panty

  1. Prolonged use of antibiotics: especially high-spectrum antibiotics, they weaken the vaginal PH as these drugs tend to sweep away the microorganisms in our body that fight the bacteria that attack us.

The most common infections are:

  • Bacterial vaginosis: It is very common since sometimes the imbalance of the vaginal microbiota allows the growth of some bacteria in an uncontrolled way, it is not transmitted through sex, however, permanent sexual activity can bring more chances of having it.
  • Chlamydia: Transmissible through sex. Sometimes, it is asymptomatic at the beginning so it can present severe risks since it causes small damage to the cervix and reduces the possibility of conception.
  • Candidiasis: It is probably the most common infection and occurs with the increase of the fungus Candida Albicans in the vaginal flora, although sometimes it is transmitted by sexual contact in others is due to a depression of the immune system.
  • Trichomoniasis: It is caused by the parasite Trichomonas Vaginalis acquired through sexual intercourse, it should be treated in time to prevent it from developing into a pelvic inflammatory disease or in the most serious case a generalized infection. The particularity of the infection presents a very liquid greenish discharge.

Diagnosis and treatment

In all cases, the diagnosis should come from the hands of a health professional specialized in gynecology, who will apply the treatment indicated for each diagnosis and check that there are no lesions in the uterus or other consequences due to these infections.

The treatment is usually topical or taking special antibiotics for each type of infection, for no reason should self-medicate, it is contraindicated to the use of douching, the application of vaginal ovules, or any other treatment that is not recommended by the expert.

Try to use eco products to avoid infections.

Hello everyone, I am from Wembley, Britain. I want to write this testimony to tell others and thank Dr. Odunga for what he has done for me. The first 12 years of my marriage I had 5 miscarriages and I was called all sorts of names by my mother-in-law and this made my marriage life very hectic and a burden of sorrow. I contacted Dr. Odunga for help and I will say that he is a very strong and honest man and he indeed helped me solve my problem. I saw his email in a testimony and I contacted him, little did I know it would be the end of all my problems. After 2 days of contact, I received a fertility herb and he told me to use it. The herb worked and my husband even loved me more and bought me expensive things. One afternoon, I went to a nearby hospital and came back home with the positive result of my pregnancy and after 9 months I gave birth to a baby boy. Ever since I contacted Dr. Odunga, my story has been different. I have 3 children at present and I am very happy in my marriage. Please, contact him at odungaspelltemple@gmail.com OR Whats App him +2348167159012 to help you too
