Pregnancy is a process in which your body deals with intense changes, so menstruation takes a back seat. Not surprisingly, the body changes at this stage will be completely different as they are completely focused on the creation of a new life.

When will it come? What will it be like? While the date of the first menstruation may vary depending on several factors, we can tell you that your menstrual process will not be the same as before.

Here's what you need to know about the first menstruation after childbirth.

When will I get my first period after giving birth to my child?

Knowing the exact date of your first period is really tricky. You can go by the testimony of other women, but what we can tell you is that you will experience your first period differently than other moms.

Breastfeeding is key:

If you want to figure out when your first period will be, breastfeeding is key. In case you do not breastfeed your baby, the approximate date will be 4 to 8 weeks after giving birth.

If you have chosen to breastfeed, your first period will be approximately 6 months to two years. Some women may even take longer.

This will all depend on the duration of breastfeeding, as well as your milk production and the amount you breastfeed per day.

Do not confuse the first menstruation with the expulsion of lochia.

One bleeding that is often confused with the first menstrual period after giving birth is lochia discharge. This process is defined as bleeding that occurs after childbirth. It may take 7 to 10 days after the 2nd to 3rd week after the birth of the baby.

This bleeding is red for the first few days, then turns pink, pale brown and becomes lighter and lighter until it disappears. Once this process is completed, there is usually a doubt about whether the first period will come, but it does not, it all depends on whether you have started breastfeeding or not.

You should always be prepared with your intimate hygiene items. See here

How is the first menstruation after giving birth?

All this will depend on your body and the time that has passed. But you can be sure that it will be much more often and its color will be more intense than usual. You should also keep in mind that your first periods will probably be irregular, and your menstrual symptoms will be different and may be more or less painful.

While the first menstruation after giving birth varies from one woman to another. Not surprisingly, after the birth of a baby, it is obvious that the hormones will need some time to stabilize and return to normal.

Reusable pads for the expulsion of lochia and postpartum menstruation.

One of the hygiene products that we will need after giving birth are the postpartum pads. These pads will be indicated to absorb all the vaginal secretions your body produces after giving birth. They are also indicated for use during the first postpartum menstruation.

After giving birth, we must pay close attention to the hygiene of our intimate area. Disposable pads and tampons are the least indicated to use. So using ecological pads and reusable panties is what you really need.

Hello everyone, I am from Wembley, Britain. I want to write this testimony to tell others and thank Dr. Odunga for what he has done for me. The first 12 years of my marriage I had 5 miscarriages and I was called all sorts of names by my mother-in-law and this made my marriage life very hectic and a burden of sorrow. I contacted Dr. Odunga for help and I will say that he is a very strong and honest man and he indeed helped me solve my problem. I saw his email in a testimony and I contacted him, little did I know it would be the end of all my problems. After 2 days of contact, I received a fertility herb and he told me to use it. The herb worked and my husband even loved me more and bought me expensive things. One afternoon, I went to a nearby hospital and came back home with the positive result of my pregnancy and after 9 months I gave birth to a baby boy. Ever since I contacted Dr. Odunga, my story has been different. I have 3 children at present and I am very happy in my marriage. Please, contact him at odungaspelltemple@gmail.com OR Whats App him +2348167159012 to help you too
